Intruder Alarms
A Typical Alarm System
A typical Intruder Alarm System installed in a domestic premises would comprise
of several Detection Devices connected to a Control Panel.
Sounders positioned in the Hallway and externally on the front elevation of
the building would provide Audible Signalling. In addition the system may use
a communications device known as a digital communicator to transmit signals
to a Central Monitoring Station to provide a means of Remote Signalling.
The Central Monitoring Station then notifies the police and keyholders of an
alarm activation at the premises.
